Celebrating Harvest

All is safely gathered in
ere the winter storms begin...

Celebrating Harvest!

All of this season's crops are safely gathered in from the fields around our villages and have been for some time.  Thanks to climate change, this summer's crops were harvested early.  Our fields are waiting to be ploughed and the seed and grain sown for next year's harvest.  The cycle of life continues.  God and his farmers are always busy creating new life and growth.

We invite you to come and celebrate Harvest with us!  During Harvest-tide, we will be thinking about God's generosity to us and all life on Earth and contemplating what's our response to this.

MEARS ASHBY

Sunday 21 September 2025 - 4pm
Harvest Praise at All Saints Church

Come and celebrate harvest at All Saints Church.  Yes, we've moved indoors because of the weather forecast!  Do come and bring donations to bless the Daylight Centre's foodbank.  Do come and sing traditional harvest hymns.  Revd Katrina will help us to reflect on God's giving and on our sharing of his goodness with our neighbours, including the local wildlife.  We'll be lifting our prayers up to God!  And...

There will be goody bags for the children.

And, a drop or two of cider or apple juice, and a piece of cake

For more details, contact Revd Katrina.

SYWELL with OVERSTONE

Sunday 21 September 2025 - 10am
Messy Church goes "Outdoors"
for Harvest at St. Nicholas Church - Overstone

Messy Church is bringing the outdoors in for harvest!  To celebrate our new Eco Church Bronze Award, Messy Church will be exploring God's beautiful creation from the dryness of Overstone Church as loads of rain is forecast for Sunday.  Come and enjoy our wild crafts, nature trail and eco snacks.  If you can, do bring a donation or two for the Daylight Centre's Foodbank in Wellingborough.  As we have been blessed with creation's gifts so may we bless those who are struggling to feed their families.

There will be goody bags for the children.

For more details, contact Revd Katrina.

Do join us for a traditional Harvest celebration!
