Special Prayers

Dear Lord,

You tell me that I am very special - so special you came  and died for me so that I might be saved.

The world just told me I was useless, unwanted, unecessary,

and I feel let down, and without a reason to get up.

In all my pain and uncertainty your word reminds me that you will

never leave me.

That when I need help I am to look to you from where my help will come.

Help me to hold that in my heart as I cry out in hurt and confusion.

Help me to think and act as you would want me to, that I may honour

you in all I do and say.

As I look forward, guide me by your spirit to the place

you have for me.

Draw me to seek and rely on you when I need to and to

talk with you everyday.

Lord give me the peace that passes all understanding through Christ
