What people think of us.

The good thing about being in this church is being made to feel part of a big loving family. This includes the home group I belong to and the children's work I enjoy helping with. The music and prayer in church takes in to account the traditional and the modern so everyone feels included. It is a very special part of both my son and my life.

We have dared to look to the future and to do some thing about it, we have taken out the pews to create a useable space where young, middle aged and senior citizens can can come to meet God. God is really working in our church and we pray we will all respond.

Margaret Welch (Deputy Church Warden - Sywell cum Overstone)

"For me as mum to a toddler, I find it fantastic the way children are welcomed into the church and they aren't expected to sit there in silence. The churches have a aura - a positive energy."

  Libby Thompson (Sywell cum Overstone)

"When I first came to Sywell two years ago I felt very welcome and at home. People were very friendly and helped me through a difficult time in my life. A Church isn't a building it is a group of people, and there is a wonderful family feel at Sywell and Overstone. It is great to see so many children.

Richard Shepherd (Sywell cum Overstone)

The great thing about  living in this parish is the friendly and supportive people within the church community, and the home groups. It does not matter what back ground you have or what job you do, you are welcomed with open arms. Working together as a parish  helps and in praying together helps no end, as people can relate with your prayers, and it  helps, even if prayers not always answered in the way we expect.

Neil Bottrill (Sywell cum Overstone)

We have some wonderful friends from the church in the Village who have welcomed us and we believe our move here was led by God.

 Lynda Denny (Hardwick)

I think that my overiding feeling is one of friendship and caring with those in the family of our churches, and also the knowledge of unconditional support in times of need.
